What Is “Pet-Friendly” Pest Control?
The #1 question new customers ask is if our products are safe for their pets. As animal lovers, we’re always glad to hear that pet safety is a homeowner’s priority. We’re also happy to put your mind at ease regarding our pest control solutions.
Our products can be used to treat many pests that could be dangerous to your pet. This list includes, but is not limited to:
- Black widows
If you are noticing signs of these pests on your property, please get in touch with our office immediately. It’s not just what we spray, but how we spray, and our team is here to protect your pets from harmful elements.
Using Less Synthetic Pesticides to Support a Healthier Lifestyle
Families make the switch to No Bugs for 100% effective pest control without the use of harsh chemicals and fewer synthetic pesticides. You can have peace of mind knowing that your home is being protected with natural products, including essential oils like mint, rosemary, and oil of wintergreen, along with safer and low-impact man-made products.
But it’s not just what we use. It’s how, when, and where we use it. Our backpacks are specifically designed for precise and thorough treatments. The particulate size of the water is smaller, which allows for greater distribution and fewer chemicals. Because the product is applied at low-level concentrations, we can eliminate unwelcome insects and create a protective barrier around your property without posing a risk to kids and pets.
Fun fact: We use the same synthetic pesticide in our product (0.01%) that vets use at a far higher concentration rate (1.0%) to treat fleas on cats and dogs!
Ensuring Peace of Mind
We’re on your team when it comes to protecting your pets. Please feel welcome to call the No Bugs office if you have any questions about the safety and efficacy of our treatments. At your request, we can provide copies of manufacturer safety data sheets (MSDS), so you can cross-check the ingredients with your vet.
Do I Need to Keep My Pets Inside During Treatments?
Again, our products are not dangerous or harmful to your family or pets when used as directed. Our sprayed applications are quick-drying and offer minimum exposure to your pets. But per California law, all puppies and kitties must stay indoors during pest control treatments, even if we’re spraying H2O. Give it about 20 minutes for the product to dry – less in the warmer summer months – and you can let them out again, no problems and no worries!
Our technicians will take the following steps to protect your pets when applying treatments:
- Call or knock on your door to bring the dogs inside (if they are outside).
- Complete a thorough inspection of the exterior property to look for signs of harmful pests.
- Move pet toys, bowls, and bedding away from treatment areas.
- Use (if needed) Rodent Bait Boxes that are weighted, tamper-resistant, and pet friendly.
What happens if your dog pulls a jail break during treatment? Not to worry, our techs are puppy pros with products that are less toxic than most shampoos and dish soaps.
If you have any questions about the safety of our products, please feel welcome to contact our office at (661) 294-0206.
